Fire extinguishers are designed to put out or control small fires.
A small fire, if not checked immediately, will soon spread out of control.
In fact, most big fires start out as small ones.
It is important, therefore, that you equip your workplace with the proper fire extinguishers as part of your fire protection plan. Different fires result from varying sources, and thus, should be handled accordingly. (See Products - Types)

It is the owner's responsibility to ensure their facility has the correct quantity and type of fire extinguishers – in the correct locations – and that such extinguishers are properly inspected and maintained.

Insurance claims can be denied for non-compliance with Fire Codes!
